Year 6 Play and Leaver’s Assembly

Well done to all of our amazing performers on Tuesday evening.  The hall was packed with family and supporters to watch the fantastic performance of the “Porridge Pot”.  With many jokes and one-liners, they ran through the play with great enthusiasm.  Everyone commented on how well they all did.  Well done again!  Thank you to all the staff who helped ensure the performance went without any hitches!

This morning was the Year 6 Leaver’s Assembly.  The Year 6’s held their emotions together – just – to deliver a final farewell to Hamsey.  You sang and spoke so eloquently and did yourselves proud.

We wish our Year 6’s all the very best as they move onto their new school.

Summer holiday working party and start of Autumn term

Thank you to all of you who have offered help over the summer holidays with the various jobs that we wish to achieve before we return to school.

We wish you all a very pleasant and safe summer holiday.  We will return to school at 8:30 on Wednesday 4th September, where we will be all on the Upper Site.  As you may be aware, our main gates are fixed and working, so you will not be able to drive onto the school premises to drop off or pick up children.

Don’t forget to read the Headteacher’s newsletter!

The Word of the Week was

Upper School           slovenly      -‘(especially about a person) untidy and dirty’

Lower School            jealous      -‘wanting what someone else has got’
