Before and After School provision

We aim to meet the needs of our parents and local community that are balancing work commitments and family life, by providing a convenient, affordable breakfast club and an after school club.

Hamsey Green Primary School (HGPS) runs Breakfast and After School Clubs which care for children from Nursery up to and including Year 6 (ages 2 -11).

Our term time clubs provide a range of healthy and nutritious food.  All food is prepared fresh on both sites.  We cater for individual and specific needs where children have particular medical/allergy needs regarding food.

Breakfast Club

Our Breakfast Club opens from 7.30am - 8:45am. The pedestrian gates open at 7.25am to allow parents to walk up the pedestrian path.

Pupils are taken to their classrooms by members of staff.

Breakfast options include a variety of fruit, cereal, pancakes or toast.

After School Club

Our After School Club runs from the end of the school day until 6.00pm.  The club welcomes children from the primary school as well as from our nursery.

Pupils in Reception, Years 1, 2 are collected and brought to the club.  Pupils in Years 3, 4, 5 and 6 walk down the corridor to the club.

At 4.00pm, after school club children are provided with a light meal which may include wraps, pizza, jacket potatoes or pasta.  These are served with a choice of fillings such as: cheese, ham, marmite, tuna and chicken. Additional healthy accompaniments are provided each day and these include carrot sticks, cucumber, celery, tomatoes, pepper, fruit, jelly and yoghurt. Fresh fruit is always available.

Menus are displayed on the noticeboard in the BAS Club Room.
