Well done to both classes
Class Transition Day
On Tuesday 3rd July the children will meet their new teachers and work in their new classes all day. At the end of the day, children should be collected as follows:
- Current Reception & Year 1 children to be collected at 2.50pm from the lower school playground where they will be lined up with their teachers.
- Current Year 2 children to be collected from the Year 3 classroom door in the upper school playground (nearest to the school office) at 3pm.
- Current Year 3 children to be collected from the Year 4 classroom door in the upper school playground at 3pm.
- Current Year 4 children to be collected from the Year 5 classroom door in the upper school playground at 3pm.
- Current Year 5 children to be collected from the Year 6 classroom door in the upper school playground at 3pm.
A letter will be sent home with your child on this day informing you of their new class teacher and class name.
Summer Sounds Festival
Our Summer Sounds Festival is being held next week on Friday 6th July! You can purchase your tickets on the gates which open at 3.30pm and are priced at £2 per adult, children are free! (If your child is performing in the festival you will receive 2 free tickets which will be sent home with your child next week) There is an array of talented acts lined up to perform during the afternoon and there will also be a selection of stalls on offer including Sweet Treats, Target Challenge, Tombola, Gift Emporium, Face Painting, Pimms & Prosecco Tent & BBQ! The event finishes at 7pm, we look forward to seeing you there!
In order to prepare for this event, school will be closing early on this day at the following times:
Lower school 1.05pm
Upper school 1.15pm
We are still looking for volunteers to help at the Summer Sounds Festival, so if you are able to spare any time (even if it’s just an hour) please do make contact with the PTA by emailing them at friends@hamsey.surrey.sch.uk or via their Facebook page.
Clubs
As we approach the end of the Summer term, please note that all Teacher run clubs will have their last sessions week commencing 2nd July.
Externally run clubs will have their last sessions on the following days:
MDL Tennis Upper school - Monday 2nd July
Dancekids Upper school – Wednesday 11th July
Lower school – Monday 16th July
Tae Kwon Do Upper school – Tuesday 10th July
Read with your child - cancelled
Due to the Class Transition Day being held on Tuesday 3rd July, the "Read with your child" session which had been scheduled to take place on this day has now been cancelled. Apologies for any inconvenience caused, and thank you for your understanding.
District Sports
Thank you to all of the children who took part in District Sports this week and a special thank you to Miss Webb and all of the other teachers who helped with this event.
Year 6 Parents – Induction days at Warlingham Secondary School
Further to the letters which you will have received from Warlingham Secondary School, please be reminded that the Induction days are being held next week on Tuesday and Wednesday.
