KS1 and KS2 SAT’s – Well done and thank you to all!

A huge thank-you and congratulations to all of our pupils and staff for working so hard to achieve in their SATs. Results are now in! Year 2 have received their individual results and Year 6 will receive their individual results, in a sealed envelope, next week and the schools statistical results will be published on our website in Autumn 2018.

Academy Review Day

We are delighted to announce that our Review Day on Wednesday 11th July, which was scheduled in January of this year, was very successful and included positive feedback! The review, led by a trained Ofsted inspector, looked at all aspects of the school and we are happy to reveal some of the positive feedback that we have received. This included validating our school self-evaluation. Once we have received the complete report we will be able to share some quotes with you.

Some feedback from the Review Day is detailed below:

  • Leadership and Management are Good – there is a clarity of vision and effective strategy.
  • Personal development, behaviour and welfare is also good and is continuing to improve.
  • There is a strong sense of purpose and improvement across the school, from both pupils and staff.
  • Pupil Voice was particularly strong – the pupils interviewed, spoke incredibly highly of the school and the improvements that have been made this year.
  • We are continuing to improve the quality of teaching, learning and assessment across the school and will be ready to launch our revamped curriculum in September 2018. This will have a positive impact on improving outcomes for pupils across the school.

Commendations!

Our Year 1 children visited The Museum of Farnham this week and their behaviour was brilliant and the museum commented that they were very proud to have our school visit them!

Also this week, our Year 4 children visited Hobbledown Farm and not only did they have a wonderful time but they behaved beautifully and were a credit to our school!

A big thank you to our parent helpers who assisted on our school trips this week, your help is very much appreciated!

And last but not least, a huge well done also goes to our Year 6 children who put on two fantastic performances of The Wizard of Oz this week – well done all!
