Lower School:                   Dahl   97.3%

Upper School:                   Wells  98.8%

Well done to both of these classes

Thank you!

A huge thank you to all of the children across both sites who have been busy raising sponsor money for the NSPCC challenges over the last couple of weeks. As a school we have raised a fantastic £600!! This is an amazing effort and a representative from NSPCC personally thanked our children for this donation during an assembly this week – well done all!

Parents Evening

Parent consultation evenings are taking place next week. If you haven’t yet booked your appointment please remember to do so using the online payments section via our website. Appointments can be made up until 12noon on the day before the event.

Harvest Festival

As previously advertised in Stop Press, we will be celebrating harvest festival at school on Thursday 18th October. This year we will once again be supporting Nightwatch. If you would like to make a donation towards Nightwatch please send in your donations with your child on the morning of Thursday 18th October. They would gratefully receive donations of the following items:

  • cans of soup (biggest need)
  • cans of fruit and vegetables
  • cans of meat or fish
  • tea bags
  • toiletries such as shampoo, toothpaste etc.

School Dinners – a new initiative!

We are delighted to share with you that the school has been selected to take part in a new online system of booking and paying for school dinners, called “School Money”. This is a new system whereby parents can choose the days they want to book a school dinner and choose from the menu in advance. This is excellent news if your child would like to have a school dinner on certain days of the week and a packed lunch on the other days! For example you may, if you wish, book a school dinner for two or three days per week or for the whole week – the choice is yours! The new system even allows you to book the evening before for the next day. Please note that payment will be required at the time of booking when ordering a school dinner.

This is a new and exciting development which will give parents and pupils more choice and flexibility about the days they would like to have a school dinner and which menu they want. The standard menus together with some options will be loaded onto the system to start with but as the system develops, it is hoped that more menu choices will be added. It is hoped the system will go live on Monday 5th November, and further information for parents will be coming out in the next few weeks.

Breakfast/After School Club

As part of the new “School Money” system, it is hoped to make the Breakfast/After School club part of the same booking process. Further information regarding this will be made available in the near future.

End of school day arrangements

We understand that sometimes you may find it necessary for your child to be picked up by someone other than the usual person who collects them at the end of the day. In this instance please ensure that both the school office, if appropriate and your child know about this change.

We do appreciate that sometimes emergency situations arise after the start of the school day and in these cases we can get a message to your child to explain the change, however you must inform us as early as you can in the day in order that we may get a message to them.
