Farewell Mrs Vidal

We would like to say a huge thank you, goodbye and good luck to Mrs Vidal, who has secured a role at Oxted School.  Mrs Vidal has been a friendly face to many, a point of contact and invaluable in being able to help both parents and pupils.  We would like to wish her well in her new role.

With Mrs Vidal’s departure, the Multi-Academy Central team are already working with our school to ensure administrative and business functions are centralised.  In the interim Mrs Knight, who has worked in the Lower School office before, will be taking over from Mrs Vidal.

Christmas Jumper Day

World Book Day – Thursday 7th March

Don’t forget we will be celebrating World Book Day on Thursday 7th March 2019.  For this exciting day it would be great if the students are able to dress up as a character from one of the books written by the author of their class; but any book character is also welcome!

Surrey Wildlife Trust are running an Art & Photography competition for children aged 8-17 years, to celebrate their 60th year of protecting wildlife in Surrey.  The categories for submissions are

                     1.    Inspiring Nature

                     2.    Wildlife Under Threat

                     3.    Adaptation in an Urban Environment

Entry is open from now until 14th April 2019.

All shortlisted entries will be displayed at Guildford House Gallery from the end of May.  It would be fantastic if some of our talented artists were acknowledged!
